Lighted Instruments

Performance ImageViolectric musicians perform on Bridge Instruments with Violuminescence™ LED lighted violins, viola, cello, drums and harp. Using wireless controls and the DMX protocol, the standard for controlling stage lights, means our instruments can make lighting changes with the music or show, or sync with the stage lighting. When needed, we supply the specifications to your lighting designer and they can take control of syncing the lighting to the stage or room or lighting changes.

Our LED instruments are just one way we raise our performances to the next level. Let us make your show or event memorable and contact us today for a booking.

Bridge Electric ViolinBridge Instruments creates amazing hollow-body carbon and Kevlar Electric instruments. Violectric performs on their Lyra 5-String Violins combining a violin and a viola in one instrument. With Bridge proprietary electronics and pickup, these instruments have an amazing sound and unique look on-stage.

Bridge Draco Electric CelloThe Draco Electric Cello and a custom-built Draco Electric Bass fill out the strings section. The bass is a Draco Electric Cello with octave strings and custom bass pickups to create a cello-sized bass that can travel on-tour.

Violectric is thrilled to have recently received the very first Bridge Draco 5-String Electric Cello expanding the range of our cellest with an additional f-string. This new instrument will make its debut during the 2023 holiday season.

Camac Electric Harp

Camac DHC 36 Electric HarpViolectric’s harpist performs on a Camac DHC 36 Electric Harp. With the custom harness, the performer is mobile and can perform anywhere on the stage or in the audience utilizing wireless technology. This lightweight, portable harp allows the performer to interact with the other musicians and the audience, something a traditional harp cannot do.

Violuminescence LED lighting adds another dimension to the performance and makes this a one-of-a-kind Electric Harp.

Lighting Technology

Our instruments are built using custom wireless LED controllers and LED strips containing red, green and blue LEDs.  The technology all fits inside the instruments with no external cords or belt packs to get in the way of performing. By mixing the red, green and blue LED intensity, any color can be reproduced to match your brand, event colors or stage decor. Wireless connectivity range usually exceeds 100 yards, depending on environment and wireless interference.

Each instrument and each pixel is controlled individually and can differ from the others. This allows for chase patterns and rainbow colors. Anything you imagine can be programmed, including fades, strobes, flashes, pulsing and more.

Michelle with LaserBow

String musicians are picky about the weight and balance of their bows, and a small change can have a significant negative impact on their performance. Our LaserBows are the first technology for lighting bows that illuminates the ‘stick’ without any changes to weight and balance. They are the result of a year of research, experimentation and partnership with a cutting-edge materials manufacturing company.

LaserBows are currently available in red, green, blue, and white. We also now have multi-color, wirelessly controllable LaserBows.

LaserBows are available for sale at our website, LaserBows.com.

Exclusive

We are the only performing group in the world performing on wirelessly DMX controlled lighted string instruments. Anyone can stick some lights on an instrument, but it takes cutting-edge technology to create a light show that actually dances to the music or can be synced with the stage lighting, all without impacting the musical performance. We continue to push the technology forward, never satisfied with the status-quo.
