Backline Audio

Violectric performs without music stands, and the musicians are free from wires allowing them to stroll into and interact with the audience while they are playing.  This flexibility requires a vast array of wireless equipment and audio technology. Fortunately, we bring everything we need with us, saving you time and money renting it from A/V vendors. We also utilize in-ear monitoring systems, eliminating stage monitors which can often cause audio balance issues, especially in small venues or corporate environments.

SYSTEMS

We utilize the latest Sennheiser wireless instrument systems to connect the instruments to the sound systems. The EW-500 G3 provides 1675 available frequencies ensuring a clean signal in most environments..

We also use the EW-300 IEM G3 in-ear monitor system which produces high-quality audio of each musician’s personal mix through InEarz custom-molded in-ear headphones no matter where they move within the venue. This allows hours of comfortable playing on or off-stage far from the speakers, and the mobility is what creates the up-close interactive experience between our musicians and the audience.

We use PreSonus mixers for clean, balanced mixes using wireless Apple iPad control so the audio team can control the mix from anywhere in the venue. The ability to walk around the room and mix ensures superior sound throughout the venue, not just at the audio booth. The RML32AI 32 channel rack mixer is our first choice, but we also utilize the StudioLive 24 and 16-channel mixers with traditional surface controls when appropriate.

WHAT ALL THIS MEANS FOR YOU

Violectric comes 100% self-contained. We have all the audio equipment we require to perform our show, including front-of-house speakers if the venue does not have them. Instead of having to contact A/V companies and fulfill an extensive and expensive rider full of system requirements, you can concentrate on the other aspects of your event. Because we bring our own audio backline, all our settings are saved which means our sound-check is very short–often under 15 minutes. This frees up the venue so the rest of the staff can fulfill their functions instead of waiting for an endless sound-check to complete.

We use QSC powered audio speakers when we provide front-of-house sound. They provide clear, balanced sound from a small footprint powerful enough to cut through large crowds. Our systems provide good coverage for up-to 500 people in a theater setting, or 1000 in a cocktail party style event.
